Cheaper

The cheapest fuel between petrol, diesel, LPG and methane is, with no doubt, the latter. For a given distance, a methane engine system saves up to 65% compared to petrol, 30% compared to LPG and 45% compared to diesel.

In addition to fuel consumption savings, methane enables further cost reductions on:
- motor oil: the optimisation of the combustion process, the absence of risks of dilution, the cleanliness, all call for a less frequent change of oil.

- spark plug: due to the insignificant amount of carbonaceous deposits, spark plugs have a longer life-span.

- engine: the engine’s life-span and efficiency improve when methane is used. In particular, due to the high antidetonant power of methane (over 120 octanes), engine knocking issues are eliminated.

- government incentives: central and peripheral governments support the adoption of methane with incentives which may reach € 4,500.00 for car replacements in case of euro 0, 1 or 2 when purchasing a methane powered car.
